Here are some helpful hints to help keep your hardwood looking new for years to come:
Place walk-off mats or area rugs at each entryway to collect dirt
Invest in a quality broom and sweep regularly, at least once a week
Use a vacuum cleaner (with no rotating brush!) to clean between planks
You can buff your floors with a terrycloth dry mop
Reduce scuff or heel marks with a stain pen
A damp towel or sponge can be used to clean up sticky areas
Avoid wax, ammonia cleaners and oil soaps at all costs.
Never wet mop or use an excessive amount of water to clean wood
